Rebuild With Us This Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, we’re focusing on helping the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) supported by UCP of Georgia who, though safe after Hurricane Helene, are facing new challenges as we work to rebuild their routines and regain stability.

Several of UCP of Georgia’s residential homes were seriously damaged during Hurricane Helene. This has impacted the safe and comfortable environments we strive to provide for the individuals we support. These homes are essential in offering stability, support, and care for the people we support, and now they need urgent repairs. With your contributions, we can rebuild our communities that have fostered growth and encouragement for many years.

Your support is crucial to our organization’s efforts to provide the necessary resources and assistance to those affected by the storm. With your help, we can continue our mission to create inclusive, empowering environments for individuals with IDD.

Here are some impactful ways you can support our efforts this Giving Tuesday:

Our vision

UCP of Georgia’s vision is to create a community in which every person, regardless of ability, is able to participate as an equal citizen.

To realize this vision, UCP of Georgia offers supports designed to help people maximize their potential and achieve independent, productive and rewarding lives.

UCP services are individualized and family-focused, placing emphasis on each person’s abilities rather than their intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supports are customized to enhance each person’s potential for personal growth, and provide continuing opportunities to make personal life choices.

UCP believes that every person, regardless of their unique abilities or any type of challenge, has the desire and ability to attain a life well-lived in an inclusive and supportive community.
